Apparently I'm stuck
I haven't lost or gained much since last Thanksgiving. I hover between 170 and 175......I am doing what I'm supposed to do every day, vites, water, protein, some exercise. Went for my 18 month check up and the doctor was disappointed, he wants me down to at least 150 if not lower. I am happy with how I look, I actually don't want to be any skinnier and neither does my family. They tell me if I lose any more weight I'm going to look sickly, I happen to agree. I have come to the conclusion that since I have stayed this weight for almost a year my body has found a "happy place" and is planting it's feet. However, I keep thinking of the doctors face and words that he feels I should lose more........if I'm happy where I am but the doctor is not what am I to do?! Any advice one way or another would be appreciated!!
What was he basing his reasoning on? Having a normal BMI, considering that after another year or so you might face some normal bounce back? I don't know what your current BMI is and it's kind of an outdated standard of measurement anyway. But, perhaps that's what he's basing it on.

If you're happy where you are, and your comorbidities are gone, then don't worry about it. The only concern I have is you are still in the "honeymoon," and you WILL have some rebound. Are you prepared to weigh 15-20 pounds more than you do now? How are your carbs at this point? If you're pushing the carbs and not losing, I'd cut back on the carbs and see if you do drop a bit. If you're good about the carbs and still not losing, this is just may be where you're ending up.
