Sue's Friend,
Sorry you are being hit with a double whammy right now. We can hope for a break in the IC symptoms to come soon and I can tell you from my personal experience that after a few months of initial DS recovery when I was wondering WTF I did to myself, things started to turn around and I began to see the great gift I received. I still have symptoms of pre existing (non-WLS related) issues, but everything is so much easier to bear without that additional weight and many co-morbids are now non-existant! Life will be better. Hang in for better days.
Regards,

Dear Anonymous:
I'm sorry you are dealing with IC and all the misery that goes along with it. I don't have any first-hand experience with it but I have a friend who lives/suffers with it and I know it is not fun for her at all. I hope you get some good and effective help with it to try to keep the flares to a minimum.
On the other hand, YAY for your DS. May your recovery be boring and quick, and may you have tremendous success on your way down the scale.

Dear Anonymous, this is definitely one of those Roseanne Roseannadanna times, but what Grammo said is so true. After you start to loose some weight with you DS other issues begin to get easier to bear. You'll be amazed at how much better you will feel.
I'll be sending healing thoughts your way. I hope if we can help you bear this, that you will come to the board and talk to us. Hugs and well wishes, Jenny

Dear Nonymoose,
My first defacto relationship was with Timothy Leary Brady (his Dad was a stoner). He turned out to be a sex addict funnily enough but as he was my first grown up relationship I decided that putting out twice a day or more was what adults did, so I did. Cue evil and repeated infection of cystitis. I would hover over the toilet crying as a desultory droplet came out and nothing more. I felt like those nature documentaries where Mumma deer is turning in circles and bellowing before baby deer come crashing out her vagina cloven hooves first.
The moral of the story is that it felt like the worst time in my life. I can acutely remember the pain and the total discomfort. Women mostly forget the pain of childbirth......cystitis not so much.
What you've got sucks arse and I hope like crazy it passes soon and you pain resolves. Be well little banana.
