Had surgery (I'm sure there are some that don't care...LOL)

I'm back and my surgery went well.  I went to my PCP today and they checked my incisions and everything looks good.  I'm pretty sore, feel like I was run over by a Mack truck!  Right now I'm working on fluids, my kids keep telling me to drink, drink, drink...uuuggghhh!

My PCP reviewed my surgical/recovery notes, and looked at my fluro pics that they did for leak tests.  He said everything looks weird, but in a good way.  Man that blue dye and other leak test drink were horrible...I'm such a baby when it comes to those kinds of things.

I'm happy to be home and now I'm going to rest, walk, and drink.  Oh, and even though I'm supposed to be worrying about recovery, I've lost 15 lbs...that's a nice little boost to the self-esteem.

I actually had a revision from the lapband to the DS.  The lapband just didn't work for me.

Speedy recovery!

Don't be afraid to speak to your doc about post op pain, if you're so uncomfortable you can't move around they can tweak your dosage to help manage the pain. Don't do what I did! I tried to be a trooper and just live with the pain, luckily my hubs talked some sense into me. What a world of difference good pain management made!
