OR Report

I have read and read my surgical report, and I can't quite understand how to figure out how big the sleeve is and how long my common channel is.  I asked Dr. K, but his response was rather vague

" those number means very little some they take into account a number of other factors. So do not compare your numbers with others" regarding the cc length, and this in response to size of the sleeve "The best measure of the stomach is the volume of the food that is tolerated. "

The OCD side of me needs those numbers!!

Would someone that can understand it be willing to read my report and try to clarify for me?  I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you...I will take that information and see if I can apply it.  I did get the whole report and I'm finding that my numbers are intertwined as well, which is muddying the waters for me.

It looks like he measured the small bowel to be 750cm (which excluded the 70cm of RNY limb, which had serosal tears and was transected to 20cm).  14% of that is about 105cm.

Is that right?

That's the part I'm missing...the length of the limbs...

Would you mind looking at it?  If you PM your email addy, I can send it to you.

Thanks a bunch,

Susan

Hi Susan

How are you I stopped losing, I am stuck. I lost 24 lbs and am on a stall for 3 weeks now. I am hardly eating. I also am having some food issues, Vomiting when eating certain foods. I know revisions lose slower.

If you eat too few calories, your body will go into starvation mode, making you feel like crap AND making your metabolism super-efficient, slowing or stopping your weight loss.  You need to be getting in more food, especially protein!
