I just read that this woman wants to beat all time record for heaviest woman in America.  That weight is 1200 pounds, She is currently 32 and 532 lbs and by the time she is 41 wants to beat the record.  She said she eats 22,000 calories a day and wants to be on Dr. Phil to prove how healthy she is.. Come on, at 532 lbs, how healthy can you be.

I'm sorry but that was very very disturbing to read..

I know I had a problem. People can try to tell you the right thing to do, but for me, I had to get it right upstairs before I was ready to do something.

If you are happy with the way you are FANTASTIC, but I WASN"T..

I saw her a while ago on tv, I thought some tv host had convinced her to abandon this goal for the sake of her kid.

Wow sounds like a psych problem to me.  I hope this woman gets help fast.  That is just plain sad.

I look at it as pure selfishness.  She has a child and she wants to be the heaviest woman?  REALLY???  Soooo...she wants to die or become so sick with all the co morbities that come along with all that weight that her kid or someone else has to take care of her?  Healthy?  BULLSH**......I have no sympathy for people like that.  If you're fat..fine, most of us TRY to do something about it.  To intentionally do this sort of thing is the utmost in selfishness.

 Jennifer,
I didn't buy into the whole list of things that obesity  worsens or affects either, but after I had my WLS, 15 yrs ago, and lost  the first 70 lbs, then my disease processes that were slowly starting to  progress began to reverse slowly....including  seasonal allergies and arthritic / joint problems. I still have those problems to a degree, but I no longer go into respiratory distress if I miss a dose of allergy medication  and I no longer need to take  pain medication continually for joint problems.   My point is, when we loose a substantial amount of weight it really can affect your daily life in ways that we don't necessarily comprehend before we see/ feel it happening to us...

I'm with you - that's a quote from the 600lb lady. If it were only so easy to just not buy into it.
