Okay, so I am a sort of newbie and have been lurking on this page for a couple weeks now.
Long story short, had the band in 5/09, slipped 11/10 and again in 08/11. Talked to DR about revision to DS and we are all systems go!!!
Got my "somewhat" approval letter from the insurance company, it's not the offiicial pre-cert but all procedures are approved. I am currently getting my affairs in order (work, pre-tests, labs, etc.) before we get the pre-cert and set a surgery date.
I have soo many emotions right now regarding this light at the end of my tunnel (where before with the band - it was more of a blinking light! LOL) and my future and just finally being HEALTHY!!!!

Welcome, and congrats on making such a great decision. I'm getting the crapband out on 9/6 and I'm very ecstatic to be getting the DS!!! Glad you came out of lurkeville and joined us! Can't wait to see your post on your date!!!

UPDATE!!!!
That approval letter....was the Pre-Cert!!! I am fully approved. Talk to the DR office and I got a DATE!!!
