Protein smell

I have a shake for bfast everyday. I hate the smell that is leftover after I thorourghly clean the vessel. Is there some product that cuts the smell? It makes me feel as if my bottles aren't clean enough. I have used plastic, and stainless steel bottles.

Try swishing  around a little lemon juice with some water, then dump that out and rince. It might help freshen it up a little.

After I wa**** I use a half water half vinegar solution, let it soak for a few minutes and then rinse. Takes the smell right out (and the vinegar smell dissipates too)

Try a tsp of baking soda and some water after you wash them with soap. 

Once every couple of weeks I rinse my containers in a solution of about a tablespoon of bleach and a cup of water, then I let them soak in water.  They come out clean and germ free.
