My thoughts are with her family, friends and bf.

She was robbed of so much!

WTH did they wait so long for? Pre-ops choose your surgeon wisely, there are reasons we suggest certain surgeons.

Good for you for getting the message. This is nothing to leave to a DS newbie surgeon. Especially when the training is, um, in question.

If you decide to move forward, please look at Dr. Keshishian and Dr. Stewart, or possibly Dr. Anthone. I believe those are your closest reliable surgeons.

Elizabeth,
Are there any other DS forums where you guys can get the word out about this surgeon ?

Yup. Several of us participate in a variety of forums among us, and I'm sure word has gone/is going out.

Thats the smartest thing I've heard all day.  Honestly I would of rescheduled too.

As far as going through with the DS surgery, As long as you're using a vetted competent, recommended surgeon your chances of a complication are greatly diminished.  There is a risk involved with any surgery, the important thing is going about it the right way.

I cant really say I knew her or much about her, I havent been around the boards in a long time I have this horrible pit in my stomach for that poor young girl.  I cant imagine what her family and friends are  going thru.  I am very upset about this.  I cried like I really knew her.  To all her family and friends, I am truely sorry for your loss of such a wonderful young lady.
