I'm already getting 1600mcg folic acid from my multis alone plus another 250mcg from my "hair, nails & skin" supplements. Folate has been unmeasurably high (>20) on my labs for more than a year, so I think I'm good to go :)
Any suggestion as to how much DHA? Right now, I'm taking 2 of these daily (at separate times to hopefully increase absoprtion), which claims 450mg per, so 900mg total:

I see my ob on Friday. The problem is, I don't know of a single ob who specializes in post-DS pregnancies, so I know I'll be figuring some stuff out for myself (via online communication with others in similar situations and my own research), as per usual...
There is no ob who specialized in post-DS pregnancies, but there are OBs who have had plenty of WLS patients who do understand the malabsorption issues - my OB was one of them.
The most important thing is that you convince your OB (educate him/her) about the malabsorption, make sure to get more frequent than normal labs, and be VIGILANT about protein, iron, vitamins, etc. Make sure they dip your urine every time you go staring in the middle of the pregnancy, and insist on frequent ultrasounds and growth scans and BPPs toward the end.
