It's official (my parents were visiting over the weekend, so now that they know, the cat's really out of the bag)! I'm probably about 9 weeks along an hope to get a due date estimate at my first ob/gyn appointment this coming Friday. We had gone off birth control, but weren't actually"trying" ye because I'd read that it could take 6-12 weeks to become fertile again after stopping the NuvaRing; however, it appears this happened in my very first cycle after taking the last ring out! AND I only have one ovary, so thought that might make things slightly more challenging, but apparently, not so much :P
Food is pretty iffy for me right now, and I've lost about 4 pounds in the past week or so (not intentionally), but I'm still not even at my lowest weight, which still wasn't even a "normal" weight, so I'm not too worried.
I had considered switching my multi to a prenatal, but I compared the labels, and my multi is actually equal or better on almost all counts (including containing MORE folic acid than the prenatal!). I did, however, add algal DHA twice a day (I read that the algal form is supposedly better absorbed than the fish oil, and with a little malabsorption already going on, I figured I'd go that route).
I've already been posting over on the Pregnancy After WLS board, but I'm closer to more folks here (since I've been poking around here for over 2 years now), so just wanted to share with you guys :)
