Hi DSrs,
Its been four years since my DS surgery, Friday I had a horrible experience.
I went to a neighbors house I consumed a 4-6 oz glass of white wine.
About 15 min after drinking the wine I blacked out, smashing my face.I dont remember anything about remainder of the night.
I have had red wine with no reaction....
Does anyone know what the heck happened to me?
Thank you

Did you go to the ER for a scan?
I don't think you should be blaming the wine unless someone drugged it. If you're not taking any drugs where alcohol is contraindicated, I'm afraid something else is going on here.
If you haven't been seen, get yourself checked out. Fainting and memory loss for no discernable reason is cause for alarm.

Seriously, one or two glasses of wine would not cause this. Make you tipsy, sure. But passing out cold very suddenly and having no memory of it? No way.
If you weren't drugged, you shouldn't drive, use the stove, or operate heavy machinery until the doctors discover the problem. Last place you want to be is behind the wheel of a car and have it happen again.
Please keep us informed.

Sugar doesn't affect the DS beyond causing gas and/or weight gain in some people.
It's not like the RnY where you can dump. If it IS medical, it probably has nothing to do with your DS.

This is really bothering me.
Why didn't your neighbors call 911?
If someone passed out like that at my house, that would be the very first thing I would do.
If you haven't bathed, yet, don't. Wait to see what your doctor says.
