I didn't know I was getting dehydrated....
I "thought" I was getting enough water. I didn't feel thirsty, mouth and lips weren't dry, skin seemed ok. But I felt like garbage! Headache, nauseous, overall achiness.
I decided to make today a water day, and have been pushing 4oz of water through my j-tube every half an hour. I'm up to 28 oz so far and I feel 1000% better!
Lesson learned...TRACK the water and pay attention to how I feel! Why is it you hear it, and read it, but sometimes you just gotta figure it out the hard way?!
Still catching up....

I had this problem too early out. It was Dina McBrides blog that put it into perspective for me. Once I started pushing more fluids I was amazed at the energy I had not to mention the nausea that went away, I was finally able to eat!
I'm glad you're feeling much better. Sometimes like now when it comes to water I think I'm jealous of your J-Tube! lol

I know just what you're going through. I actually went to my PCP 3 days after coming home from the hospital, because I woke up that morning and felt like my throat was closing up. She took one look at me and said: "Um, yeah. You're dry. Your mouth is dry, your tongue is dry, your throat is dry. Go home and drink some water. Ok, a lot of water." She actually gave me a prescription for water. I felt like such a silly stupid, I mean, how many times do you hear "sip, hydrate, drink, fluids" around here? Good news, it only took 2 days of carrying a water bottle around with me to fix my little problem, but I still felt like a bit of a fool. Ah well, live and learn!
