State employee and public school teachers are no longer excluded from having life saving bariatric surgery as of 1/12! I feel so blessed that someone from this DS group pointed out this news. Just saved my parents $23k!

It does sound like great news, and a big step forward for the people of Arkansas.
but for yourself, better also check to see if they will cover the DS. There are many insurance policies that cover wls but not the DS. I hope this works out for you, but if not, you know about other possibilities, right?

Sounds awesome, but I do have the same caution that Larra mentioned.  I hope the DS is included.

Good news. Hopefully, someday, Oklahoma will follow.

I'm doing the happy dance for you (and people in Arkansas)!

P.S. Speaking of dancing and your state, this reminds me of one of my favorite children's books, Baby Danced the Polka.
