Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Oh shelli, im so sorry. I have a few more things to get together before i send everything in but im so worried they will tell me no also:( Does your plan cover any WLS? Mine covers RNY totally and i wonder if that will make a difference??

It sounds shady so hopefully your appeal will go thru w no problem!!:)

Oh no, Shelli I'm so sorry to hear that. I've got no suggestions, I'm still waiting for the "go" myself, but I'm praying for you. Curious to hear what the reason for the denial is. Might be able to help when I hear, I worked for an insurance company for a while.

Just the start of the fight, you knew it was coming. Don't get disheartened. You'll get it through.
