Hey Gina,
Kind of disheartened today as it was scale day and it looks like after a week of low carbing and working out (plus no alcohol) I gained 3lbs!!!WTF!!! its not TOM and I cannot for the life of me work this out a all.....so today I am having the day off from low carbing, so there!! lol

and then back on the wagon tomorrow I guess and back to the gym!!

Had a band in 2005 at 280lbs, had band removed and DS done on Jan 22nd 08 at 220lbs in Spain, now 135lbs and a size 4!! Happy as a Clam!!Dontcha love the DS? It's the best tool around!!

I need help.  I was doing so well and had energy etc.  I feel terrible yesterday and today. I was on my own over the weekend with my kids, went  off, took them to the pool etc. and I think I guess I got behind on my food, drinks and vites!  Wed. will be 3 weeks since DS.  I have been drinking Ease protein drinks, water, sf popsicles, lots of cheese, baked chicken, soup etc.  I have avoided sugar, but too much of the sf stuff gives me headaches too. I am avoiding breads etc.  I have had little bits of fruit and only corn as a veggie.  Sunbutter (allergic to peanut buter) on saltines worked for a bit. A little shrimp and crab sticks have worked well too.  I am really past the jello and broth stuff also.  I did have miso soup today that was good.

I need more ideas!!!! I am tired of these things and do not love eggs.  I felt clogged up maybe from cheese this and cheese that. I love to over cook cheese in the microwave till it is crispy and chew it well. I am unclogged now, and I am not sure I was...it could be that I just did not eat enough over the weekend, because I know I didn't.

So I felt yuck late Sunday, yesterday and today.  My husband said to give him a grocery list, but my mind has gone blank.  I am afraid of any carbs or sugar.  Am I too afraid?  Could I feel weak from no carbs and sugar or more from needing to get more protein drinks in?  I am getting in two now about so that is usually about 40Grams of protein form that, but some days I have hated them and have one and that is about 17-20 grams of protein, but the food I do eat is protein.  I need a variety I can add in without it sending me to the toilet. Any suggestions would be great:)

Also, I have unflavored protein powder that is gross to add to stuff and ready made choc. Eas  drinks.  If I even want to blend stuff into shakes, what is the best method?  Our blender stinks!  Does that also add too much air in it?

I'm sorry your struggling and not feeling well. Have you tried Greek yogurt. My favorite I Fage full fat or 2 %. You might try tuna salad, egg salad, or chicken salad. Have you made the ricotta fluff? Another thought, rotisserie chicken from the store.

I love Lorie's ahke made with Champion double stack chocolate and protein coffee made with half chocolate powder and half IDS cinnamon vanilla. I only use blender bottles and haven't used my blender since I had surgery.

A shake cake is another good way to get your protein in.

I'm sure Gina will pop in soon with more ideas. Are you getting enough fluids?

I forgot to say that I am three weeks (on Wed)  post op.  I know this is early, but I was feeling better than I am now.  If you get behind on water/protein and all, does it take a few days to catch back up? My fluids are back up, but my tummy is mad at me.  Maybe I did better on the cheese! 

If you have something that makes your stomach mad, how long does it last you all to get over that?  Is it longer the earlier out?

Is it normal to turn your nose up at several things?  Even yogurt sounds yuck right now.  I want cheetos. haha.
