Biopsy Results = EXCELLENT NEWS!!
Yes, that's right folks. Lisey (psst, Lisa) is on Cloud ******g Nine right now.
Why, might you ask? Yes, I do have cancer, BUT! I have the best kind there is to have, not what I feared. I have "classical" Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Nodular Sclerosing subtype. This has a very high overall survival rate, I believe the 10 yr mark is 85 or 90% (I think 90!)
Remember that Hodgkin's Lymphoma seldom goes below the diaphragm, yet I had 3 nodes involved below there (& 2 above). In addition, of all the subtypes of all lymphomas, follicular non-hodgkin's (poor survival rates) predominates at the messenteric node - where mine originated, while only 4% - 5% of Hodgkin's Lymphoma involve that node. WELL, I'M ONE OF THOSE 5%, BABY!!!!
I guess when you expect bad news, even while hoping for the best, and then you actually get the best . . . . well, that equals Cloud ******g Nine.
