Choose the Duodenal Switch!

I can't believe it's already been a year. Really amazing. What is even more so amazing is how much your life can change in just 12 short months.

Here is a link to my 6 month update. You can see "before" pics here:

http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/4316379/How-to-lose-173lbs-in-6-months-PICS/#35579964

I started at 448lbs at 5'10" with a BMI of 64.3
One year later I am 209lbs with a BMI of 30.0!

I've lost 239lbs in one year!!!!

My life 239lbs lighter...

-I work out 4 or 5 times a week (because I WANT to)... I worked out prior to surgery, and now that I've lost this weight, I enjoy it EVEN MORE!! It makes me feel so good! I love it!! I can now RUN!!! Last time I remember running, I was 5 years old!

-I can fit anywhere! tables/booths/whatever. I never worry. My social anxiety has decreased significantly due to this.

-My high blood pressure that was uncontrollable... now SUPERB! Along with my triglycerides which were also sky high!

-I now get my periods and my doc said I should have no problem getting preggo when the time comes!

-I no longer sweat by just standing in the heat. This is the best summer I've had in a LONG LONG time!

-No more plus size clothing!!!!!!

-I have a very healthy relationship with foods. No foods are "off limits". I love love love the food I am able to eat! I feel like a normal person.

-I FEEL LIKE A NORMAL PERSON! I've gone on dates and they would never know I had surgery. I can eat a healthy normie portion.

-I eat like a stereotypical DSer... A ton of protein, a ton of fat, moderate amount of complex carbs and low simple carbs. I couldn't be happier.

On with my current pics!! Photo ***** Time :)) Pardon my super goofy looking faces, I've not yet mastered the fake smile!
