BMI 41.1 - I want DS

If its what you want, you find a surgeon that will do it. If you want it bad enough, you'll find a way.

My BMI is under 40 and even though my surgeon didn't suggest DS initially as an option, after asking him about it (upon learning about it through this forum), he said it would definitely be an option that he'd be glad to do.  However, I haven't gotten it cleared through insurance yet.  I'm with MMSI and Mayo Clinic which are interconnected.  My surgeon said MMSI typically doesn't challenge them and will usually do whatever they tell them to do:)   My health issues are PCOS and pre-diabetes.    Good luck to you!

MY BMI WAS 35, THE DS HAS WORKED OUT JUST FINE,  GETTING A SURGEON AND INSURANCE COVERAGE MIGHT TAKE A BIT OF EXTRA EFFORT ON YOUR PART, BUT STAY WITH IT.
