oh maddie, thx for posting this.
i love to swim.  loved going to the pool.  at 352# i knew ppl would point and stare but i didn't care, i was just as fat with clothes on as i was in a swimsuit
but now,  because of my horrid looking arms and even worse thighs, i haven't been swimming since before wls.  the excess skin on my arms actually hangs over my elbows.   and, well, lets just say the wrinkles in my thighs have their own zip code.
your post made me think about at least buying a bathing suit and maybe trying to use the hotel pool the next time we go away. that way it's not my neighbors pointing and starring.
thx !

Noreen. Never be embarrassed about our skin!

Here's a cute way to cover it at the beach if you want. My daughter asked me to order her one to wear to work (she bikes there, then gives swim lessons to the kids she watches)  and she can use the top for biking and swimming.

You can also buy 'board shorts' to cover your thighs if you feel the need.

thx a bunch kristina.  i had no idea such swim attire existed.  rash guard with some board shorts sounds just like the ticket.  and their prices are very reasonable.
now i need to find one of those inflatable inner tubes with a rubber ducky attached to complete my pool ensemble.  lol
thx again.  you made my day.

That is fabulous! Congratulations! Isn't living life why we all want or did this surgery for!? You can bet I will be out there with my wings and wrinkles. I'll just trade in my rolls, dimples and flab for it!

SO glad you had a sinkingly great time!    You're right - when you take a good long look at who else is hanging out there, you find you're somewhere right in the middle of the body spectrum.
I go to the beach almost every day in the summer, and I walk the beach while I'm there, for exercise.   I was having a dickens of a time finding a suit - geez.....it's hard to find suits in small sizes, let alone ones that are cute, but with halfway decent coverage.   I wanted a little swim skirt bottom, but couldn't find any up here in my size.   I resorted to buying one of those athletic skorts - with the quick dry swimsuit-type material.    Got it in black - then bought a tankini top, in a cute print.   The skort is just a skitch longer then a swimsuit skirt, and covers my saggy thighs a bit better.   My eighteen-year-old daughter proclaimed it youthful enough and cute, so I wear it with confidence, especially since I'm exercising while I'm wearing it.  I happened to find a cute little pair of nylon swim shorts the other too, and bought those for a bottom too.   Don't want none o' my loose skin flapping in the breeeze!
