Surprise !!! I didn't just have the sleeve, I was given the DS
Congratulations, Lynn. You've finally now got your chance to get to a healthy weight and the resolution of most comorbidities. I be it feels nice to have that lap band off! I hope you're feeling well, and yes, the gas can be smelly, but your body does adjust after a while. Just keep the white flour and sugar at bay will you figure out how you'll handle it.

Hey Lynn! Congrats!!!
Out of curiosity, is your GP going to do your aftercare? My GP in Kuwait was WONDERFUL!!!! (I really, really, really miss her!!!) Any test that I wanted (that could be done there) she was happy to do. I never had to describe the procedure to her. She knew all about it from my first appointment.

Thank you all for the words of encouragement and congratulations. It sure has been a long road to get here but I am happy.
As for how things work in Qatar.... ahhhhhhhhh....it can be more than frustrating (on a good day). I am sure Colleen will vouch for that. Unless you go to a private clinic we do not have personal GP's. We never know who we are going to see when we go to the assigned Health Centre and when we do go it is easier to bang my head on the wall than try to explain things. Good thing I used to be a nurse and have been able to manage my own health quite well over the last 9 years.... then again... it is very good that I have not had any health issues neither...lol... except for my BP... which I have also managed on my own the last 2 years. No word of a lie that for the past year I have been going into the health centre every month to renew my meds and, except for my last time there, not one of the doctors ever asked what was my BP or had the nurse check it...lol... how is that for management????
If you read my profile, this has been a long journey for me... this being my 3rd attempt.... first was the balloon.... then the band...... and now the DS..... so I am really happy that I will not need a 4th surgery.... (inshaALLAH - God willing).
BTW... i love the Dark Side already.... you guys are great!!!!
Blessings to all!!!
