She doesn't have the balls for DS. Let her go find one of the Yahoo groups where they blow smoke up each other's asses while they live through (the ones that don't die, that is) their crippling non-compliance rooted complications.

 I'm baaaaack!

Not that anyone gives a **** (I've heard this is the "mean" forum... LOL!) but I am 30 hours post op from my DS. And I feel fan-******g-tastic! :-)

I'd be lying if I didn't mention that the gas I am experiencing in my chest right now is a bit of a PITA, but other than that I feel really good. I've been walking alot and I'm experiencing minimal if any pain. I haven't had any morphine since yesterday - no need for it. I had a C-Section with my youngest child and would have to say that surgery was harder on me than this one (up to this point)..

I DID drive my car down here (to Mexico). It's perfectly safe in the secure hospital parking lot. It was a WONDERFUL drive with my college aged daughter. We were down here within 72 hours after leaving home.  We stopped in Lincoln, NE (yawn), Denver, slept in a nice resort in Colorado Springs, saw a Cathedral in Santa Fe, NM, slept in a old Route 66 motel (it was a hoot!) saw the Grand Canyon and ended up in Mexico before 9pm on the 3rd day. I got my teeth fixed in Los Algodones. 5 root canals, 6 crowns. Ouch! That hurt worse than the DS. LOL! But my teeth look fanastic and I am glad that I got them taken care of before my surgery.

The kicker? I got BOTH the doctor's I wanted. Two for the price of one. Aceves did my surgery WITH Ungson. I am a very happy customer.

Okay... flame away, if you must. :)

I'm glad you got lucky and didn't die. But, I am not going to stick around to watch you whine and ignore every bit of advice about vitamins, gas, stalls, and everything else. You obviously know best so go it alone. Goodbye. *block*

I don't get the 'got lucky and didn't die" comment.

Dr. Ungson did my surgery (the same vetted surgeon that did yours). The only difference is that he flew up to do it in the hospital of my choice.... Hospital Almater in Mexicali. I was very happy with that arrangement. No whining here.

Wait, what? You're 30 hours out from a major surgery & you felt the need to come post some kind of bragging post on a board of anonymous strangers who had completely forgotten about you?

How sad is your life?
Won against big bad (SoCal) Kaiser for a Duodenal Switch  Haven't heard of DS? Kaiser wants it that way. Come on over & read the truth
Hit goal (Normal BMI) on 2-10-11!    I LOVE my DS!!
My approval process timeline:
02/12/09 - Dr. refused to refer me for WLS
03/03/09 - Vented/whined about it on another board, planned to just wait until next year & switch plans
Let's see what happens!  **updates in blog**

Wow...so your arrogance and lack of communication skills haven't killed you...yet.

I'll stay tuned.  Or maybe I'll block your ass.  Hmmm...which would be more fun?

You know what I love best about this post ?

You let all the people who commented on this post 4 MONTHS AGO to take up residence in your ****** up brain

You came here to rub it in their faces, but all you did was let them know that their 4 MONTH OLD  comments really stuck in your craw. AND THEY STILL ARE.

Stop it you're killing me

Honestly, the best thing about this forum is the members being blunt and honest. It helped me prepare for the worst possible recovery after surgery. Being prepared for the worst and having plans set in place for it made my uneventful recovery a great surprise and pleasure.

Honestly, the OP sounds more like my 16 yo daughter who can never be wrong because she found the information on the internet. (and even though you are in IT, I can guarantee she'll blow your ass out of the water with her tech savvy ways, after all, she plans on being a pastry chef, therefore she has taken every tech class offered in her school up until now, so she knows not to have 3 websites to get her name and info out when she starts her business. If you go onto a forum asking for information, opinions and you get them, like them or not, you asked for them. When you respond in an antagonizing way, you act no better than the 10 yo on the playground who picks the fight hoping to get the other kids in trouble. for a 44 yo woman you act like a high schooler, with about as much respect for the opinions of people who've been in the situation you  plan on being in.

My advice, before you take the car daddy bought you (and will probably expect him to replace once its stolen) and drive there because you WANT to, you might want to consider any wls because you sure don't act mature enough to have one. I know I'd never encourage somebody who doesn't seem more mature than a high schooler to have surgery.
