Julie - from one of the past posters who rarely gets on anymore - you do have an "L" on your forehead but it stands for Lovely, Likeable, maybe even Lusty!  Keep on keeping on - you are Awesome.  I admire you.

I can only say that your advice to me has been priceless.... and someone who is 4/5 yrs out is the only one that can give the kind of advice you have.

I have been to other weight loss boards for other "diet/weight loss"  type things and you NEVER see someone still there after 5yrs, so loser or not, I find you to be a blessing to us newcomers!!

Thank you

NO WAY. A lot of people may be like me and read tons, but post little. You have way too much good advice to stop posting here. And NO, it does not mean you don't have a life or are a loser. I'm here every day and I lead a busy life, just like you.

I think it's great that you continue to post, so please don't stop.

Hello?!?!?!?!?

WINNING!!!!!!

I love hanging out here.   And, like you, I have a life.  To be fair, you contribute far more than I do in the "important information" department.  I am in awe of the lengths you've gone to to address your malabsorption of nutrients issue, and of your posts here, keeping us informed of your efforts.  You just might be responsible for saving a life (or two).

Me?  I enjoy the snark.  Although, to be fair, there are a couple of times where I've had something helpful to contribute.  I do try to balance it.

In conclusion: Don't stop hanging out here, k?

Truly though, the craft of snark requires great honing.   I've been a total loser in the D issue lately, and I need to get back on top of it before something serious happens.   I saw an endo doc this past summer that really blew me off because he didn't know what to do with me (he was supposed to be a vitamin D expert but had never seen anyone who had such a tough time absorbing the levels of D that I take, so he just stopped responding to my calls and emails).   Shortly afterwards, I entered into a huge home restoration project with DH and that has been my primary focus since then.    I currently have no friggin' idea what my D or PTH is and I need to get back into the saddle and find someone who knows what the hell to do with me.   Now you've guilted me into taking some steps in that direction.

I have no local support group so this is mine.
I am on here daily to support others but also to support myself.

So for me it is a win-win situation. I give but I still get so much in return.

lov ya!
Gratitude is my attitude

I would not be "armed" with half of the information I now hold if it weren't for you "losers" !!

When a community is a community it takes people to be that way... you are right where you need to be..
