Gas Pressure and excess fluids
Hey there,
Congrats on yours as well!! You know what's weird? I can take in about 8 ozs in about 15 minutes which was not the case the first four days. I could take in about 2 ozs in an hour and then when they upped it at the hospital to 4 ozs an hr I could only take in 3 ozs an hour. I can get a whole lot more down now and I am not sure why...And I am extremely hungry...This is really an interesting journey isn't it?

This is indeed an interesting journey- the hunger hit me yesterday as well too. I am following what the doc says as post up as best I can and yesterday was one of those rough days while today I got down a protein drink with no problems. Strange! Bloating seemed to subside for yesterday and today it is back. I am pretty sure it is directly related to drinking milk-related drinks. I would love to follow your progress since we had surgery only a day apart!

PS edit- One of the RN's and my own mother mentioned that removal of the gal bladder can also conribute to bowel-related struggles post-op. Just something to consider- obviously I am not a medical person but I think it makes sense to think about ALL the things you had done- not just isolated events like changing your bowels.
