I never cared for the ricotta fluff but OMG...you gotta try THIS!

So, I made the effort to drive to Central Market in Ft Worth to get some full fat real greek yogurt (they only sell the sugar-laden zero fat mass market type in my local stores). And I tried it (Fage plain greek yogurt) the other day with some sugar free Smuckers blueberry perserves. Eh, it was ok.

So, I'm looking at this tub thinking I'm sure I can get this to taste good, just have to use my imagination! I had some sugar free cheesecake pudding mixes from way back when I tried to make ricotta fluff and didn't like it.

So, I plopped a package of Jello sugar free cheesecake pudding mix in with one cup of Fage plain full fat greek yogurt and added a few tablespoons of half and half to make it easier to stir - that stuff got stiff fast.

AND OMG it's like heaven in the mouth. I'm eating cheesecake without carbs. Honestly, tastes like the real stuff.  WAY creamier and satisfying that made with ricotta. And just as much protein, baby!

It would be way too sweet. The cheesecake pudding mix is sweet enough. But if you meant just putting it in the plain yogurt, yes, that along with a bit of sugar free vanilla syrup would taste nice. I was planning on trying that on another day.

Omg!  This is too funny!  I just made fluff and am sitting down to have 1/4C right now!  I make mine with vanilla yogurt (greek of course), SF cheesecake pudding mix, mandarin oranges and sometimes add some crushed pineapple.  I dish up 1/4C worth into those reusable KFC plastic dishes to take in my lunch box for a sweet treat during my 12 hour shifts.  Sure makes night shifts more bearable knowing that even though I'm eating a treat, it's not too bad for me!  Plus, it's a dairy that doesn't give me a belly ache!  Great minds think alike!  Yum!

Thank you for posting this. I just made it and it is the perfect dessert after a slice and a half of Brok's pizza.

It IS cheesecake and it IS DS friendly. Loving it!!!
