Step by step directions on how to make the best protein shake EVER!! (Pics included)
I just looked over my bottle and I don't see any sugar alcohols in the Starbucks at all. It is made with Sucralose, so if you can have Splenda, you should be good to go. I don't think I eat anything with sugar alcohols, but I could be wrong.

O M G! This is like Christmas morning, I cannot believe that it could actually be true. I have now googled my butt off and it seems that indeed, SB's sf syrups are free of the 'TOLS! I've looked over all kinds of recipes for protein shakes and always ended up clicking off the website in disgust bc of the SF syrups.

Yay! I'm seriously in LOVE with the flavor of this syrup, too! Caramel is my fave, but the vanilla and hazelnut are good too. These are all sf flavors, and I believe they also have cinnamon dulce and maybe one more sf flavor for the holidays! I drive right through their drive thru to pick mine up. A 32 oz bottle is only $7.95 here in Indiana, I'm sure it's more elsewhere.

The torani and davinci syrups are made without sugar alcohols as far as I know. The only one that uses sugar alcohols is monin and they use erythritol which is different from the other sugar alcohols anyway. The erythritol, in my opinion gives monin syrups a better flavor and texture than the torani and davinci and most people do not have issues with erythritol. I happen to be one of the few who does but considering how little is in the syrup and how little of the syrup I actually use, the tiny amount doesnt bother me. I use the monin strawberry and raspberry flavors religiously.

I envy your ability to use sf syrups. Anyone know of any that are made w/o sugar alcohols?I got DaVinci from Vitalady...it says Splenda (sucralose) and has no -itols in it. But all I have is B-52 flavor, so I may have to send Mr. Sue out for some SB right now.
I make my protein shakes almost identical to this...they are so yummy!!! I only do hot but am definitely going to try them cold now!! Instead of the SF carmel syrup, I use a splash of carmel macchiato coffee creamer, and instead of the heavy cream, I use lactose-free milk. It is soooo good...I crave them too, and usually drink anywhere from 2 to 4 a day. Thanks for sharing the recipe, Lori.

Sounds great! I so have to get some Champion powder. I got Syntrax nectar choc and vanilla and I'm not liking either one very much. I'm going to finish them though before I buy anything else, but it will be the last time I buy those flavors. I have the cappuccino flavor and I love that, but not the choc. and vanilla so much.
