Good point about the ferritin, MM! I've upped my dose of Proferrin recently. Hoping for the best.

I gotta disagree with Major Mom. LOL My iron is good and I still freeze. I wear cardigans in the summer and ALWAYS have a sweatshirt jacket with me, just in case, In the winter...well lets say I now own about 6 coats, lots of sweaters and sweater tights. Also the electric blanket stays on the bed year round.

I'd much rather be cold and add more clothes then be soooo dripping wet hot, wanting to shower 3 times a day.

Pre-op I would make my own gravy at any temperature. It could be 45 degrees and I'd have beads of sweat popping up on my forehead.

These days if it's 60 degrees out I am freezing. It's a nice change actually.

The nights in PA are now getting down into the mid 40's and we just put the electic blanket on the bed. I cranked that sucker up to 7 last night and was in heaven.

My wife, on the other hand, is the human flame beacuse of her age. We are actually talking about getting a twin size electric blanket so I can just use it on my side of the king size bed. I can be warm and she can be cool.

I live in the desert in the Middle East and have for almost 8 years. The 140 degree summers are so much easier to take than prior to surgery. However, the 20-30 degree winters are horribly tough on me. I have a terrible time getting and staying warm. And after 3 years I can absolutely say it does not get any better. I don't know how I'm going to deal with the winters in Houston when we go back. It gets a lot colder there than here and they have ice every year.

Nope. I am comfortable at 75 but if it gets any colder I freeze. I went to Las Vegas in August and was loving the dry heat. *bliss* Everyone thought I was nuts.

I have already broken out the fingerless gloves - am using them now.

I never thought I'd want to go to Vegas, though my grandmother spent half the year there in the later part of her life.  Maybe I'll end up a tiny, birdlike gambling old lady, like she was! Strange to think...
