Can't get warm! Does this pass?

It has gotten a little better, Lenore, as my innter thermostat seems to have adjusted a bit, but I am still FAR FAR colder than I was when I was MO.  I never go anywhere without a second layer, just like a little old lady.   I am constantly whining to everybody how cold I am, and when anybody asks what I want for Christmas, I tell them to buy me a pair of Smart Wool socks!   In vivid colors!

Hi, Julie - It's good to hear that it's gotten a little better for you. Meanwhile, I really love the idea about Smartwool socks! I actually bought my first pair last week. The $18 price tag nearly drove me away in sticker shock, but I was desperate. And I really love them!  They would be an easy thing to tell people I want for Christmas.

I don't know if it gets better or if I just dress warmer.  I do know that my A/C bill is lower now - LOL - and I sleep with a down comforter more of the year.

I guess that answers that, eh?

It does. We don't have AC at our house -- generally only missed it a few times a summer here. But, it's nice not to feel quite so overheated on those days.

My husband told me today that I am officially "that chick". I asked "what chick?", and he replied, "that skinny chick who's always cold".

Hee!

Seriously, though. I haven't been able to convince my family to turn on the heat just yet, so I'm in the living room with a snuggie plus a quilt over my lap. I was hoping I might adapt a bit, but I suspect my body will always wonder WTF happened to that warm 150 lb coat it used to carry.

I wonder just how much down equals 150 pounds of human flesh thermically?  That's how much I apparently need!

Thanks, skinny chick!

Nope sorry. Preop I didn't even own a coat. Now I own one that is 3 coats in one AKA super thick and wear it from Oct-May lol.

Guess I'll need a coat or two in addition to the down vest, very soon.  Thanks!

I haven't been revised to DS yet form the band but all I can tell you is this - after 2 years for me it hasn't gotten any better. I'm the person that even when it's 97+ in the south I still wear my cardigan sweater.

I keep hoping to gets better but I'd rather be cold and weigh less than be hot all the time and chubbier!
