Oh shoot, just what I need. Another very delicate balance thing.

Just kidding, Thank you so much for you excellent explanation concerning the PTH glands.  I'll have to study up!  I can see why you are liking the transdermal calcium.  I think I will order some.  I'm amazed that you are getting the levels tested every week.  That must keep you busy.  Guess you are using a lot of different sites for the draws, huh.  Keep me posted on your progress.  I'm real interested.  Thanks, Jenny

I am currently receiving D infusions twice a week - which means I go to the local cancer and blood center and get hooked up to an IV for an hour.  They draw the blood when the poke me for the IV.   My veins are quickly becoming garbage.   I'm their first ever D infusion patient, and one of the nurses commented the other day that "she had no idea D would be hard on veins," but I think it's just the multiple pokes that are hard on the veins.  Lately, we've been putting a herparin lock in one day then going back the second day and just hooking me up.    After I go see this bone and mineral doc, if he thinks the infusions are going to be a long-term thing for me, we're going to put an infusaport in.   My hope, really, is that the transdermal calcium and sublingual D are ultimately going to do the trick.

Julie,
What wonderful news!  At least the cream is working.  Hopefully, your PTH will keep coming down as rapidly as this first downward trend.  I'm just glad that for me I just have to take my A,D,E with calcium in the middle of the night.  I'm still taking calcium 6x/day, which seems to be working my PTH was 32 and my D came up to 104.  Thanks for the update.
