This isn't something new, but for some reason I was thinking about IZ tonight.

It's a youtube of Isreal Kamakawiwo'le singing "Somewhere over the rainbow". IZ was a super morbid obese Hawaiian who could sing like no one I've ever heard before. He died of complications from his obesity when he was only 38.

I adore his music. On one of my albums, he talks about the genetic problems he has. So sad.

Yes, we are! I'm in PO.

He may have had genetic problems too, but he ate like he would never get another meal. I say a clip of him and his brother doing a concert and when they took a break they had a platter of McD's Big Macs brought in; they each ate 6 or 8 in about 15 minutes.

It's still so very sad he was destroyed so young when he had so much to offer and give.
