Final Update On Kathy34715 R.I.P.
I know saying sorry doesn't help ease the sting, but it seems like the only word we have to say what we really mean: "I wish I could take a part of your pain so that you don't have to deal with it. I wish that I could be there, for you and for Kathy's family, over the miles and despite being strangers, because death is something that no one of us is able to deal with gracefully because it is ultimately contrary to life, the life we have all been given as a beautiful gift and to have it taken away seems so unfathomably wrong." I'm sorry for your loss means something like that.
You are in my prayers. May God bring you peace and wisdom today.
In His love,
Marz

Her death was not related to the DS:
As I read back over my post I noticed that I might have not worded it right, noticed that it had someone thinking or rethinking their surgery choice and I don't want to mislead anyone when it comes to the DS surgery.
Kathy did not pass because of anything associated with getting her DS. Please, please understand, if it wasn't for her going in for the DS, she wouldn't have ever known she had intestional cancer and a hernia. She never got her DS. So please don't let my hurt and anger cloud the lines and if it did, I apologize.
I have never and will never promote one surgery as better than the other. I kind of figure that each one will choose what they feel is best for them and I support each one on their decision. However, I am going to plead to everyone, do your research on the physicians and hospitals. If you hear a lot of complaints from the OH Board, or out in the general public then don't take it like one is trying to force their opinion on you. GO RESEARCH YOUR PROCEDURE, DOCTOR & HOSPITAL.
