Final Update On Kathy34715 R.I.P.

I lost my friend.  For those that kept up with my updates on Kathy knows that she was battling for her life ever since she went into get her DS surgery.  She never got it and she passed away Monday from complications due to misplacement of her G.I Tube.

What I am going to say now is probably going to just **** people off royally but I just don't give a crap at this point.  This isn't my first experience with those doctors in Ocala and Monroe Hospital.  I almost lost my niece and her attending at the time was Dr. Overcash.  Long story that I just am not in the mood to get into right now.  They are treating people like they are on a conveyor belt there.  This is just an FYI that I am passing along for those that are considering the surgery there.  Damn, I am wanthing to throw a good thrashing out right now over these people but I am going to wait until I have my mind clearer.

Thanks to everyone for keeping her in your prayers!

I am so sorry for your loss. It saddens me when someone is lost while trying to save their own life. Be it weightloss surgery or heart surgery etc.

I'm so sorry.

For everyone *****plied to this post and those that wanted to but couldn't.

Every single one of you will now and forever hold a special place in my heart.  I am going to make sure that Kathy's friends at home know how much she was liked and loved.

As I read back over my post I noticed that I might have not worded it right, noticed that it had someone thinking or rethinking their surgery choice and I don't want to mislead anyone when it comes to the DS surgery.

Kathy did not pass because of anything associated with getting her DS.  Please, please understand, if it wasn't for her going in for the DS, she wouldn't have ever known she had intestional cancer and a hernia.  She never got her DS.  So please don't let my hurt and anger cloud the lines and if it did, I apologize.

I have never and will never promote one surgery as better than the other.  I kind of figure that each one will choose what they feel is best for them and I support each one on their decision.  However, I am going to plead to everyone, do your research on the physicians and hospitals.  If you hear a lot of complaints from the OH Board, or out in the general public then don't take it like one is trying to force their opinion on you.  GO RESEARCH YOUR PROCEDURE, DOCTOR & HOSPITAL.

I want to thank each of you once again.  Your condolences and well wishes touched me and her friends.  God Bless & please feel free to add me as a friend.

My condolences to you and Kathy's family and friends. This is what we all secretly fear I think and to hear of someone not making it through the surgery just tears my heart open.

You'll get no arguements from me.  Overcash has a long list of problems.  Just do a check on malpractice claims against him.  It's pretty staggering.  I'm very sorry for your loss.

Oh, no. Diane, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and Kathy's family.

Please don't worry that you've pissed anyone off. That practice has a terrible reputation already.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I guess it was a blessing that I got such bad treatment from Overcash's office last year that I decided he wasn't worth my time and went to find another doctor.

Wow, i am so sorry!  I remember she replied to my 4 month update and she said she was scared but excited that her surgery was only a week away.  I cannot believe that this was botched up so badly.  How very, very sad.  My condolences to her family and friends.
