Oh so yummy in my tummy.  scrapple.  breakfast food from the gods.  we slice our 1/2' thick, put in a dry frying pan, coo****il crispy on the outside and velvety smooth on the inside.  no syrup, no mushing it up with other stuff.  just enjoy.

I'm from the North.   Well, in America.   In England, we're from basically the south.   But that's neither here nor there.   I was born in Ohio and I've lived in Ohio (twice in one two and two others towns as well), Rhode Island and any number of other northern places, and I'd never had scrapple!

It sounds southern to me.   I'd be interested in trying it, but I think I'd have to work my way up to scrapple.   Maybe some tureens like they use in Vietnamese sandwiches, then spam and then scrapple?

I grew up with the stuff around but I never could get past knowing about what was in it.  It does smell good cooking - they fried it in a skillet, but I've never tasted it.  Come to think of it, I probably don't want to know what is in hot dogs either.
