Flashbacks to my youth!!

I had the pleasure of riding along with an insane Bell pilot (nowhere near as pretty as that Whirlybird) who used to take me to what I considered insanely low altitudes to show me "how reliable" autorotation could be. I wouldn't have kept going back, but it was too cool to say no to.

I know what you mean; I was surprised at how controllable the heli is during an auto. It's something you have to practice a lot during the training to the rotor craft rating.
