Kerry, congrats. You have so many people who love you and your support system just does not happen, you would have had to open your heart and soul to those you love. When I look at your wife, children, home I see a man who loves life. You are a successful man, a humble man a man that will live a long and healthy life. Thank god you loved yourself enough to get the DS. Karen

Ah heck Karen, you are so sweet; I'm just a very lucky guy and I do mean lucky. When I married Barb, I really lucked out, I was way too young and dumb to have any clue what I was doing. I really feel like I've been blessed much more than I deserve.

Thanks Felicia, it really does feel like a new life and at 57, it's unreal to feel so young and alive again.

Oh, Kerry!

What a wonderful, wonderful year you have had and kudos to you for your honesty and willingness to share the good the bad and the truth.  You've NO IDEA how badly I needed to hear and see this today! (as you may have seen in my "funk" post)  I had not seen your post before now, even though it was apparently already on the board when I posted mine.

Coincidence?  I think not.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Best,
Lois

Hi Lois, it's so good to hear from you, where have you been?

I know what you mean about the "funk" I remember it well when some of the DS surgeons I spoke to tole me they wouldn't dare revise me as it would be too dangerous. All I can tell you is to hang in there and don't ever give up, it will happen for you too, just keep plugging!

Thank you Kerry for posting this!  You are such a great testimony to the DS!  I loved reading your story. It is very uplifting for newbies like me.  I am looking so forward to feeling this way myself.  I am in like with my DS but I can't wait til I feel like shouting from the rooftops that I LOVE my DS!

Thanks for sharing!  Keep on lovin life Kerry!

Oh and I LOVE your pics too!  You are looking fabulous!

Getting excited about my future!  God is AWESOME!

Traciejo, thank you for the kind words and encouragement; I'm a very lucky guy to have so many people pulling for me and giving me encouragement and support.

You're on your way now, just keep doing what you know you should and you will get where you want to be.

Dang Kerry - I just don't know how I could say it better.  My surgiversary was yesterday and I didn't really know what to say.  I think you said it just right - so if it's okay - I'll just say "DITTO!  What he said!"
