One year ago today......who could have known?
Belated congratulations on your surgerversary Kerry!!! I'm so so so happy for you! You've had an amazing journey, and your insight and honesty has moved me to tears more than once. Thank you for sharing your journey with us - you're an inspiration!
BTW - I hadn't realized where you live until I saw your pics and recognized the land! I lived at Hill Air Force Base near Ogden when my dad was stationed there from 1970-1976. My folks were (and still are) avid campers and we would head down to southern Utah at least once, usually twice a month, year round. I felt like Escalante, Capital Reef and Zion were my second homes during those years (long before Escalante and Capital Reef were National Parks - they were just beautiful places we used to visit!). My dad had a Land Rover and he loved to just take off cross country and down the canyons. You are blessed in so many ways, and living in that gorgeous part of this country is certainly one of them! (((((((((((HUGS!)))))))))))

Thanks Laura, it has been one incredible year; I feel so lucky to be where I am and have the life I have. I actually sometimes feel a little guilty I'm so blessed.
It is a beautiful place to live; I've lived here my whole life except for a few years going to school and two year on a mission. I've traveled quite a bit and seen some nice places, but I'm always happy to get home. One of our favorite places to visit is your neck of the woods; we've been there three times on family vacations; we try to hit the Hill Cumorah Pageant every few years and like to visit NY NY, Niagara Falls and also go fishing on Lake Ontario. The finger lakes are just beautiful too and I've spent a day before just driving and hiking around them; if it weren't for the brutal winters there I would be tempted LOL!

Let me know the next time you all are up this way and we can get together!!! I'm pretty new to the area, so am still exploring it myself. I live about three miles from Canandaigua Lake (one of the Finger Lakes) and it's just beautiful! We're both blessed to live in such a beautiful and diverse country! Happy Sunday!
