Let's do a poll: Do you drink protein shakes?

I'm 2 and a half years out, will be 3 years in November.

The first year had 2 shakes a day.

Now occasionally, but not a planned thing.

Product of choice, Unjury Vanilla, mixed with fruit and whole milk.

I feel like such a slacker... I'm lucky to get one or two in during the week.  My problem is that I haven't found one that isn't just nasty, although I can tolerate the Unjury Chicken Soup.

Sounds good.  I hadn't thought about using half and half....  Hummm.

Although, I'd have to try it before I shell out $30+

I have never had one. I am a revision from a VBG, so I have lots of cheese, meat, eggs etc. I am almost ready for my 90 day labs....maybe I will not have done enough.

Me too Dave. I supplemented the first year. It just helps to relax a bit about your protein levels as your body goes through the weight loss changes.

Dave,

It's very likely that your labs at 3 months are just fine, the real reason for 3 month labs is to get a baseline of numbers and star****ching how your numbers are trending.  My protein didn't tan****il 6 full months of doing very few protein shakes, and that was from months 18-24.  There are for sure people who don't need, or may never need shakes.  It's not for everybody as some people seem to not be able to bring themselves to do them.  If you're getting your 100 grams of protein in you may have nothing at all to worry about.

I drink 1 Champion (chocolate) every morning, that is my breakfast.  I am not getting a lot of food in, so I need these, and I'm trying to do one in the evening as well.  I need to try harder, I'm coming up to 90 days and am not getting close to my 90 protein a day.

I hear you on that! I'm barely getting in 60g and I can't imagine getting in 90g in a mere 3 weeks. Good luck getting to your 90g goal.
