At Goal, before and after photos
If someone would have told me 1.5 yrs ago that I would be thin, married and have a child I would have laughed in their face. I still can't believe someone's life can change so much in less than a year and a half. I had a revision from the Lapband to the DS on Jan 2008 and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. My highest when I started the revision process was 338 lbs and today I weigh 156 lbs. I have been very blessed that I am one of those DSrs that didn'****ch carbs and still lost weight quickly. I accidentally got pregnant 6 months post op (I don't recommend this to any recent post op patients) and had my son almost 7 weeks ago. Throughout the pregnancy I continued to lose weight and since giving birth I lost the last 47 lbs. I am still losing weight but I am starting to try and maintain since I am happy with how I look and feel today. I am wearing size 8(medium) pants and 6 (small) tops. I have a little hanging skin on my tummy and very little on my thighs (I never worked out as when I felt good to start working out I found out I was pregnant and since I was high risk OB didn't want me working out). My arms are horrible and I am already planning on getting them done in about a year. I am planning on starting a workout routine once I return to work in 2 weeks. Life with the DS has been amazing and I am so grateful that I've had such an amazing experience.
For those researching the DS GO FOR IT. Take it from someone who has had 2 types of weighloss surgeries.
