Spent the night in the ER - Tests were inconclusive
What Kerry said about trapped gas from the procedure and the plane right is interesting. The worst pain I've ever felt in my life was from a gas bubble that decided to land in my shoulder after abdominal surgery. It was horrible horrible.
Let us know what you find out from your surgeon!

So sorry you had to deal with this. Lots of good ideas. Sounds like you did the right thing in going to the ER to be sure. I found this Gas Defense that I love to use on occasion. IF you have gas in the intestines, it is supposed to break it up and it has worked great for me on a coupleof occasions, pretty fast acting too which is a blessing.. .like 20-30 minutes.
As an example we had a dinner we had to go, so food choices were limited... I ate, but not much of the pasta....I pay for pasta...so I always have some of this on hand as I get into situations where I have to eat something.
The flying could had a lot to do with this also. This can be found at Walmart or about major drug store. Have a safe pain free trip home.

Revision #2 Dr John Rabkin June 21, 2013; First Revision DS - Dr Maguire 5-18-09; First DS 7-15-2003 Dr Clark Warden = Third time is the charm
I took a VSG patient, about the same length of time post-op as you, to the ER with the same symptoms. She was in incredible pain, and could not get comfortable, no matter what she did. She was sobbing, and we were both sure that there had to be something wrong with her sleeve. I was at a loss, because how could it be gas -- she didn't have her intestines touched and could barely eat anything. I had Nicolle on the phone, walking me through what to make sure the medical folks looked at -- and there it went -- the loudest, longest, most intense fart I ever heard!! Then, all was good. We left the ER without ever seeing a doctor, and hit the road for our 4 hour trip home. I've never had gas that hurt, and she is no whiner, so this was bad pain.
