Trying to Paste VitaLady's DS Schedule
You might try getting one of your doc to prescribe Proferrin Forte...same stuff but with folic acid and you only need to add 1 or 2 a day.

Hi Jaime,
I've been taking 100K of Vitamin A for about 3 months (50k for the previous year) and will have labs done in July. My surgeon approved VitaLady's schedule for me to follow because we watched my labs trending down on 12 Vita4Life multies and mega doses of dry beta carotene. He thought that since he leaves a little bit of the duodenum attached that I should be able to convert some things like iron and beta carotene...wrong, my converter is broke. Probably was broke as a pre-op too as I was pretty low on vitamin D, iron and ferritin. My B-12 was kind of low as a pre-op too. The bottom line is letting your labs be your guide. I'm taking the higher dose of A until I test in July and then adjust accordingly. It's ok to be a little high on A for a short period of time. You just don't want to stay off the charts for a couple of years. Here's a link I think is pretty good but you have to keep in mind it's always geared towards normies. Read the part about those who need to increase vitamin A. I think DSrs fit the bill pretty well...little or no stomach, malabsorb fat, etc. It also describes side affects of too much vitamin A. Haven't had any of those yet but I'll watch it.
