I'd love to hear from post-ops what you'd do different if you knew then what you know now!!!
Lori,
Good luck on Wednesday. You will do fine.
My biggest regret is not going through with the DS 4 years sooner then I did. Life is so much beter post surgery than pre surgery. At almost 500 pounds there was not much I could do. Today I can do everything.
Make sure you take your favorite pillow to the hospital with you, take pre-op poictures and measurements and walk all you can immediately post-op....

Great name by the way -
The only thing I would do differently would be to have had the DS the first time around 20 years ago if it was available (I don't think it was). I had lots of complications after my revision and am now getting back to normal. I have not lost weight very fast and I am being patient as it will come off. I am losing inches which I think is great as the smaller clothes are starting to fit.
My advise for the first few days is to take your pain meds on a regular basis even if you don't think you need them. When I left the hospital I was only taking ibuprofen for the pain and it worked just fine even though I am the worst baby when it comes to pain. Sure I was sore from the open incision, but just took it slow.
Sip, sip, walk, walk, just like everyone here is telling you. You will do just great.
Take photos in your bra and undies pre op as well as one outfit and keep the outfit to take photos later to see how much you have lost.
Good luck and we will be saying prayers for you for a smooth journey.
