How Long Was YOUR Longest Stall?

I'm gonna be the party pooper and tell you I have only lost 10lbs in 4 months. I am 8 months from my revision to DS. I am at the same weight I stalled at with my RNY after losing 70lbs and then regained all that I had lost, so obviously my body likes being 240lbs. I just had a hernia repair1 week ago and am starting to feel my pants looser, but I've been fooled before. So, I don't want to hear any whining.

I never stalled, but for the whole first year I ate extremely low-carb and exercised 5 times a week religiously.  I don't know if I would have done nearly so well otherwise.

  1. Hello! I am six years out DS. My HW 423 SW 350 CW 195.
  2. my longest stall was about 3 years. I lost the first 100 pounds quickly and then I slacked on my DS eating. I fluctuated for years between 210 and 240.
  3. I took a field position in January 2018 that required me to be very mobile. Walking, climbing stairs etc. I also started paying attention to my diet and increasing my water and vitamins.
  4. Basically I got back on the program.
  5. Since January 2018 I went from 240-195.

I don't have an answer ... but I'm about a month further out than you, and I'm in the same boat.  Except my stall point is 235.  I spent several years at 235-240, so it may be some stupid "set point" that my body feels comfortable at.  But I also know I'm eating more.  After my 100g of protein a day, I eat pretty much what I want.  I just can't go low carb.  I can go moderate healthy carb without too much effort, but low carb is just like every other diet that I couldn't do before. So far in May, I've only lost 2 lbs.  I hope that once the weather warms up, I'll be busy working outside, and getting lots of exercise.  I guess time will tell if at 5 months this is "it" or not! Try not to stress too much about it.  :) Jerri
