Topic: Newbie with a few questions..

I'm new here and wanted to give a quick introduction and ask a few questions. I'm at this stage undecided if I'm going to have Lap Band or RNY.. Tonight is my seminar with Chrias and I guess after my initial consultation I'll know which surgery would be best for my lifestyle.

I have United Healthcare Community Plan (Medicaid) and I was wondering if anybody here has that insurance as well and how long was the process took before your surgery was scheduled. I'd like to have sort of an idea of how long the wait is.

Has anybody here had their surgery through Chrias and if so, what was your experience with them? Tonight is my seminar with Dr. Iragau.  Also, which hospital did you choose? I'm hearing St. Francis is a lot better than Christiana as far as friendliness goes amongst other things. Input on that would be helpful as well.

If anybody could help me out with those questions it would be great. TIA!

Hi Kendra,

congratulations on your surgery!  OH is a great site to help answer all of your questions.  I also had bypass surgery, 5 years ago this month.  I have never regretted it one minute.  Good luck!

Hi! Just wanted to give a quick introduction. I am still trying to figure this site out. I am Kendra, i am 25 years old and I live in Wilmington, DE. I just had gastric bypass on Monday, Nov 5th, 2012 with Dr. Wynn.  I am looking forward to everything there is to learn about life after WLS! Would love to speak with other members!

Thank you. North Delaware seemed to be in the "Eye of the Storm." The devastation appears to have gone around us.

Thank you to all of you who have kept us in your prayers. ((HUGS)) Elissa
