Hi everyone.
I am having knee replacement on my right leg on Tuesday. Now I will truly be the bionic woman. I am a little nervous since last year when I had spinal surgery, I lost about a liter and a half of blood.
Good news .. all my blood work came back in the normal range. My protein levels, iron levels, vitamin d levels are all in the healthy range.
I havent been able to work out at the gym for a while, but I have been able to maintain my weight. I have a case of protein bars and canisters on Unjury in my kitchen to keep my protein levels up while I recuperate.
Could you keep me and my surgeon in prayer on Tuesday morning. Thanks..

Topic: VSG and BCBS of DE
So I found out from CHRIAS this week that back in Aug, BCBS effective immediatly was only going to cover the VSG if your BMI was over 50. So now I am still going to put it thru for VSG and then appeal as I am not going to have LapBand or RNY.
Just curious if anyone else has run into this problem with BCBS and if you did appeal did you win?

My Thanksgiving was good. Better than I expected. I didn't get sick and I didn't gain anything. So positives. :)
My hair seems to be coming back. I hope the falling out is behind me.
Losing weight means not being as hot all the time, but it also means I need to do stuff like wear sweaters. Didn't think of that much before surgery! Did some good walking up and down Main Street, Newark on Saturday. Terribly windy, though.
