I'm new on this website. My name is Erika.  I'm looking forward to meeting some new people. Feel free to e-mail me [ [email protected]

I have my first appointment with the surgeon tomorrow at 1:30pm. I'm not really sure what to expect. I'm excited & nervous at the same time. I'm also proud that I've taken to first step.

Ok so i have been busy the last 2 weeks but i manged to make some awesome cookies from my childhood that i loved.  Now im posting it as my mom makes it.  I really think if you substitute  splenda for sugar these aren't all that unhealthy.  I make mine with sugar and i can eat 2 without any issues ...im soooo happy ( they are small).

BOILED COOKIES

1/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup milk
3 cups quick oats ( must be quick cooks in a minute not old fashioned )
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter ( any kind crunchy or creamy)
nuts are optional (hint i use crunchy peanut butter if i want nuts)

bring to boil the sugar, cocoa, milk and butter.Let cook for 1 minute ( yes thats only  one )

remove from heat and add remaining ingredients quickly.

use a spoon ( teaspoon or soup spoon ) and place in spoonfuls on wax paper and let harden. ( time dpends on temp and enviroment) I let mine set about 30-45 minutes.

 you get approx 36 cookies

SHARE, EAT, and ENJOY.

Welcome to the loser's bench! Glad to hear you are doing well.

Now go measure yourself, and document all the inches on a chart at www.thinnerself.com

That way, if you hit a stall with weight loss, you can still tell if you are losing "inches" (it happens!).

Good evening everyone!
Hope your all doing well.......
Here is a run down about me...
1st i want to THANK everyone for their thoughts and prayers and Amy& Monique for the messages.
2- Surgery went very well... Driving to the hosp was very emotional
Got there ehh a lil okay... got to the Pre surgerical area got a lil relaxed! went up to Prep and Hold... yea here came the tears once again! boy it was just a mess! just saying bye to my mom and dad even though i would see them shortly was just still hard....

3-Everything went well in prep and hold, nice nice group of ppl! got stuck 2 times cause my veins are so small and they ROLL... :-( so hung in there for about  1/2 hr then in to the FREEZING OR i went... and then the tears came again.....
then .....
All i heard was Sweet Dreams and thats all she wrote! i woke up saying OMG my chest hurts( from the air/gases they put in us) and did you have to cut me wide open?LOL.... Now anestehsia and i do not get along.. everytime i come out i cry and cry and cry.. did i say i cry??
The only thing that happend was they had to leave the breathing tube in me a extra hour. reason is because i have a very rare skin and muscle disease,  had since i was a child and is now in remission and pray it stays like that for ever..... but they wanted the muscle relaxer to ware off before they took it out. anywho....
i slept most of the day wed after surgery and cried everytime someone came in or talked to me! haha! My boyfriend stayed with me both nights which was a blessing! he got up with me to walk that gas pain out of my chest throughout the night! whew that was painful and that drainage tube too it was just there and ugh!
Early Thurs morning, my vein blew, so they had to call 2 iv techs in, not to mention i was stuck 7 times that night/ morning! :'( so i am all black and blue!  never fails..... sorry if i rambeled on to much....
But i must say......
Surgery  was a success!!!!! im so happy i did it... i got to my post op Dec 18th ;-)
Hope everyone else is doing well

thanks again all
