Hi Ellen,

The 5 Day Pouch Test website is www.5daypouchtest.com/  It is really good and makes sense to me.  There is a book that Kaye Bailey has written that explains it more in detail and gives great receipes.  I got on the scale again today and lost another 1.2lbs.  Check it out, it is worth a try.  It helps break the carb and sugar addiction that we get when we are further out.

I don't get to Wilmington but about once a month, my monthly Costco run...lol.  When I come up next time I will let you know so we can get together.  I miss seeing you and everyone else.  I am going to try and make a Saturday meeting soon.

Take care,

Deanna

Deanna,  You are doing a great job.  Keep up the good work.    Where did you get the 5 day pouch test?  I would love to see what it involves.

Miss seeing you.  Call if you are up this way and maybe we can get together.  Lots of luck with the job search.  I know that adds to the stress eating.

Love,  Ellen

Hello Delaware,
Well Day 2 is history and I am proud to say I survived 2 days on liquids.  It was actually easier then I thought.  I had a yummy strawberry shake with yogurt, skim milk and frozen berries for breakfast, I had a double Healthwise Hot chocolate for morning snack, lunch & dinner was the pumpkin & sausage soup and my evening snack was applesauce with a scoop of unflavored Unjury.  I didn't have an afternoon snack, had a late lunch and dinner would have been pushed back to about 7pm.  I did get on the scale this morning and I lost 2.4lbs in just one day.  I was surprised and happy to say the least.

There were a couple of hurdles today too and I resisted them, the men of our church sell sausage sandwiches the 1st Sunday of every month and today was the day.  I gave a donation and walked away.  They smelled wonderful and I wanted one but I knew that I had the will power to just walk away.

It's not too late to hop on board, it is really easy and I am enjoying rediscovering my pouch.

Have a great night!

Deanna

I would love to get together.

January is crazy for me.  Let's plan on something if Feb.  Middle of February would work best for me.  Maybe I can enjoy a meal by them !!!!!!  It "is" getting better.

Maybe we can spread the word and start a group.  Wouldn't that be great!!

Thanks for the offer and for responding to my plea for support.  It really means a lot to me.

I will keep in touch.

Thank you...  Thank you...    Marge

Hey, Delaware's small - I'll meet you halfway!!  I'm in North Wilmington, but I'll travel.  We don't have a support group or anything - so far it's just me and Tiffany (she had the same surgeon as you!), and she's in Bear.

Give me a shout if you want to get together!  I'll always do lunch somewhere on a weekend.

Iman, I am from Sussex County Delaware and run a support group there. If you are ever at the beach you are welcome to stop in and visit our group. I highly recommend the group they have at Victory Fellowship Church. I don't know the address but it is on Rt #40 next to Walmart. 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7p.m. My daughter Debbie and myself come up to this meeting once a month. We love it there. Everyone is like family. Best of luck with your surgery and hopefully we will see you soon. Oh and welcome to the Delaware Board. I hope you post often. See you on the loser's bench where there is always room for one more. Joanne

Good Morning Kathy,
If it's prayers you want then it is prayers you will get.  I can do that.

I know all about the job scene, I am still out of work (3 months on the 10th).  In the 3 months I have emailed and mailed my resume and filled out applications, but I have only been on 2 interviews.  It is really scarey out there, there are no good jobs anywhere.  Not sure what the baby's mom can do, but I did see an ad in the Guide from the 31st for an office worker in Millsboro for Millsboro Heating and AC.  I would have applied, but from Federalsburg it is just to far to travel.

Good Luck,

Deanna
