It's about time you did something nice for yourself Joanne.  Hope you had a good time.

I ended up changing my menu plan and made homemade salisbury steak with mushroom gravy, potatoes and gravy, and sweet peas.  There's enough leftover for another complete meal.
I'm not cooking today.

As I mentioned, Sarah started her job at Allen's and when she got home yesterday, she was soaking wet and freezing.  They hired her to work in the box room but ended up putting her in tray packing, without the proper protective aprons, gloves, and boots.  Her poor hands were in ice water all day and her feet were cold and wet all day.  Sarah is real small statured and the gloves they DID give her were way too big for her.  I hope they equip her with the proper work attire when she goes back in on Monday.

It is bitterly cold outside right now at just 9 degrees and my furnace has run non-stop all night. My tanks are down to under 40% so I called Poore's and they said even that much will last me a few weeks.  I hope so. I am on auto-delivery so I better not run out before they come for a fill.

Hi Everyone,
Thursday wasn't so bad for me.  I took Dakota to the pediatrician to re-check her runny nose.  She is doing a little better so they went ahead and administered her shots.  Come to find out, she has never had ANY of her s******cept the newborn ones they get at their very first doctor visit.  All the records they have on her were sick baby visits.  Riley goes on the 26th for his shots.  He HAS been getting his immunizations.  I stopped at Super Fresh and picked up some hamburger meat for a meat loaf, and some bananas.  The cold weather makes me ache alot so for the most part, I was on and off the heating pad the rest of the day.  I made a very large batch of egg salad by request....along with my chili, egg salad disappears really fast around here so I made alot.

Sarah started her job at Allen Foods in Harbeson Thursday.  Jason will start next week.  His start date was delayed because he had to get a replacement social security card before he could have his work physical.  SO starting next week, they will both be working 40 hours a week.  Thank goodness things are looking up for them, and us, finally.

Friday I will make a meat loaf with mashed potatoes and gravy.  I usually can't manage to get the potatoes in but I always put some on my plate.  LOL.  Old habits die hard I guess.  I hope everyone has a nice weekend and stays warm.  Single digit temps coming our way!

Hi Delaware,
I am having a really bad week.  We took Doug's mom to the ER on Tuesday night and they kept her and ran a CT yesterday.  Doug got the results today and it is not good.  They have found several spots on her lungs and want to know if the family would like her to be in Hospice care.  Doug is very down right now, he has been taking care of his mom for 10 years and losing her is going to be extremely hard for him.  Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. 
I have had stress eating today, but the good thing is I ate healthy food instead of the bad ones.  Thank God for pumpkin granola ceral. 

Good Evening Delaware and Friends. I see from Tuesday's roll call most of us are not having a good week. I hope it gets better for all. I went to the Cardiologist today. He had the missing bloodwork that my PCP never received. My thyroid is way off wack so I need to get a med adjustment. He said that is why I look and feel so tired. Funny the first thing he said to me is you really look tired. When we get to my bloodwork he says this is why. My sugar is also elivated. Now that scares me. It is just on the boarder. I am thinking " Girl you better wake up ". The good news is there is nothing seriousely wrong with my heart.  Work has been very busy this week and I am really looking forward to the weekend. I am going to make it a point to get out this weekend and do something I want to do. Hope all has a blessed night and a good Friday. See all lighter. Joanne
