Joanne,
Thank you so very much.  The social worker came out yesterday and explained how they worked the program.  She is actually the daughter of a very close friend of Doug's family which is good because she was so sweet and she knows what a good lady Hazel is.  Hazel has demenita(sp) so she gets a case of the nasties every few days.

Faith is what is carrying me, that is for sure between no job and this I have to rely on my faith.  God doesn't give us more then He thinks we can handle.

Thanks again, you are such a sweet lady.

Deanna

Yes Joanne, Mrs. Robino's is at 8th & Union. It has been enlarged by 2 more houses. It is the only Italian resturant we goto. Nothing fancy, but the food is consistantly good. I have been going there for over 60 yrs. I know my Mom and Dad went there when she was pregnant with me.    I've had many memorable times there. Funny when I was preparing for surgery 5 yrs ago that was 1 of the places I went for my last meals. I had a list of last meals. LOL Silly me thought I woulkd never eat there again. Well I have eaten there many times in the past 5 yrs, however, I just don't eat as much as  I used to.   Maybe some day we can have a meal there. ((HUGS)) Elissa

UGH I really hate winter weather . . . I hate being cold all of the time LOL. We had a deadline at work today and I was already behind on the project . . . then I had to leave work to get the kids off the bus (early dismissal), cart them to my mom's and beg her to babysit for the rest of the afternoon. I didn't get finished the project until 7:15 tonite and by then the roads were horrible -- be real careful tomorrow morning if you have to go anywhere -- the roads were freezing up and people were sliding all over the place just now. I have to drive to Baltimore tomorrow morning, hopefully the roads will be salted and driveable . . .

Wow, a cruise sure does sound wonderful right about now!

Deana, Hospice is probly about the same everywhere. They started out seeing Bob once a week. He was under their care for 5 months. They will meet his Mom's needs as they come. Don't be afraid to tell them what you guys need too. Remember to take care of yourself during this time. Lean on your faith. I know that is what helped me thru. Remember she will have an anger stage. This will be the hardest time because they hurt the one they love the most. Please feel free to call me anytime. Even if you just need to vent. My prayers are with you and Doug and this time. See you lighter. Joanne

Elissa, Mrs. Robino's ! Oh how that brings back memories ! That is where Bob took me on our first real date. Is it still on Union Street ? We use to go there for special occassions after that. I have not been there for years. Love the place. See you lighter. Joanne

I was quite surprised to wake up to a white outside..lol They said flurries overnight and the bulk would start tonight..hmmm as usual can't trust those weather people..

I like that rule of thumb that everyday is day 6 Deanna, I may just adopt that.  I'm two weeks and counting to my cruise...can you tell I am excited and to be honest can't wait to get out of this cold dreary weather...

Not much else going on, sticking to the eating and drinking more and more water I can tell it's working...

Good Morning Delaware:

Welcome to our winter wonderland.  Down here on the Eastern Shore of MD it is snowing and laying on the streets.  The are saying it will be turning to ice later on.  So if you are out on the roads today please becareful and take your time.  You are worth it.

Things with Doug's mom are about the same but in some ways getting worse.  She needs contast care and Hospice is starting to come, I don't know if it is just MD or not but the way they are doing their Hospice is different then what I thought DE does.  I guess once her health gets worse they will do more.

I am happy to say that I am sticking 100% to my Day 6 on my 5 day pouch test.  Every day after day 5 is considered day 6.  I am very in touch with my pouch and finding over eating not an option.  I went to see my mom yesterday and she kept trying to get me to eat junk and I refused, I was shocked she did this because she knows that I am not allowed to eat that junk.  Maybe she was testing me, well I passed that test...lol.

Stay safe everyone and keep warm.

Thanks everyone. I got to the gym by 7am. There are now 5 of us Losers all there early.
Lisa, Tony, an unamed lady, Chris and myself. Seems like the early birds get the worms. (LOL) Some of the folks have joined the Delaware Tons challenge. Of course all we talk about is exercise and food, or lack of.  A little camaraderie among Losers and a little challange to encourage each other. I really look forward to chatting with others. We do have a common bond within the WLS groupies. I love it. I always felt like such an outsider and never a part of any group. Self image issues, I guess.

Spent the day with my Mom at the Dr's and dentist. My brother from Huston is here to help talk about some of my Mom's issues and future health care. We did that for a couple hours. Then the family, both brothers, sister-in-law, hubby & myself all went to Mrs Robino's for dinner.  My DH got my favorite Veal parm, I got the chopped antipasta. MMMMMM. A little salad and a small piece of veal and 1 slice of bread@ butter was about all I could take.

Home now on my puter. Wanto to call my Roomie, T, to make sure she had a good day too.
