I was looking under Christiana Care and saw they have several exercise and nutrien groups. I know Dr. Wynn's patients have to do classes . I saw one that was an 8 week class for $160. Is this the class her patients attend or is this different? I have to attend several for 3 months. I thought this might be closer than me going to D.C. Has anyone did the 8 or 12 week course ? They are once a week for 90 minutes and one gives you an exercise DVD.  See you lighter. Joanne

Judy, Victory's meeting is the 3rd Tuesday of each month. It is on the 17th this month. Oh I wish I had a Golden Ticket too. We all do. I think everyone on this board knows how you feel. I don't know yet  what kind of revision I will have . It all depends on my test and what the insurance company will cover.. I will not know for at least 3 months. Right now I have a bad cold so I can't get any test done until I can breath thru my nose. I had to  reshedule one for 2 weeks. Just another bump in the road.  Debbie and I look forward to meeting you in the near future. See you lighter. Joanne

Lucky for Debbie!  I wish I had a golden ticket.  You know you loose all this weight and to still have problems shopping for clothes just stinks!  I wear a 8/10 pants but because of all the excess skin, I have to wear a 1X shirt or a mens M or L shirt.  So not fair.
Joanne what kind of revision will you have?  To a DS or just revise your RNY?
Have a great weekend, the weather is suppose to be great.
Is the Victory Chapel support group this tuesday? At 7pm? and what door do you enter?  I cleared my calendar so I can attend and meet you guys!  Can't wait!

Debbie and I went to see Dr. Finelli on Wednesday. Her hernia turned into a Golden Ticket. She was put on the skin removal list. He told her she was at his goal weight for her. He does this by 70% of your excess weight lost.  I was very happy for her. I on the other hand was put on the gain list for a revision. I have lots to do in the next 6 months. More than I had to do for my RNY but I will do what I have to do.  Maybe this time next year I will be on the skin removal list. See you lighter. Joanne

Topic: RE: Gastric Bypass after a Lapband ???
Adamary,  It can be done. The problem is sometimes it is harder to get the insurance company to pay for a second surgery. Your Dr's office should be able to guide you even if they don't do revisions theirself.  Is going from a lapband to RNY considered a revision ?  I had RNY and am looking into a revision. I was offered 3 choices. The lapband over the RNY was one but the Dr. said that would be the hardest to get approved.  I have to do many things to get the revision approved. More than I did with my first surgery. It is worth it to me. I will do whatever I need to do for the next 6 months. See you lighter. Joanne

I go to nemerous meetings a month. I learn something new each time. I am 5 yrs out. It keeps me focused & positive. Sometimes a small group gets the chance to share more info. Large groups are good also if the leader keeps it interesting. Each group is different. Go to a couple then decide which one is for you. Good luck. ((HUGS)) Elissa

You can have it done.  However it can only be done by a surgeon who does revisions
