Topic: RE: Abdominoplasty Consultation Feed back please
Dr. Saunders has a good reputation for expertise and bedside manner.  I'd recommend the entire practice "Christiana Cosmetic Surgery".  Personally I used Dr. Warren for my procedures and loved her as well.  I had a consult with Dr. Danyo too, didn't like him AT ALL, comments he made to me and his office staff didn't impress me (an error or two in my records)...

Good luck !

Topic: RE: Last Meals ????
Yeah, I had me some Last Supper Syndrome.  The only thing I didn't have - that I should've, since I don't eat it at all now - is Fettucine Alfredo.  Pasta gives me the most horrible gas pains now.  I can't figure out what to eat my Alfredo Sauce on now, since I can have all of that that I want.

Topic: RE: Gastric Bypass after a Lapband ???
If the Delaware surgeons won't do a revision from LapBand to RNY, you should really consider looking into the DS.  If you qualify for the RNY, you qualify for the DS, and it has a much easier post-op lifestyle than the RNY.

One caveat - the information that is listed here on OH about the DS is misleading and outdated.  Because of this, I invite you to come over and visit the DS forum!  Or drop me a line - I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.

Deanna,

In hospitals they have bed alarms so if osmeone gets up alarm goes off and they know to check on the person . Im not sure if they have them for general public i should think so with the number of people who get cared for at home.  Do you think if you got this you might sleep a little more?  Are you using a baby monitor?  that might help too.

Hi Amy and Delaware,
I am here lurking most of the time.  Since Doug lives out in the country they haven't had Comcast or Verizon come in with high speed internet so I have to use dial up and don't like to be on the computer a lot during the day for fear someone will call and he will miss the call.

I am awake now at 522am and have been for 3 hours when I was woken up by Doug's mom falling to the floor.  She got up to use the pot, thought she was on it and went to sit and missed.  Doug's niece spent the night so she was able to help Doug get her back up.  I was in the bedroom trying to get a good night's rest.  After all the noise and excitement I haven't been able to go back to sleep.  This scared his mom too and we had to give her some of the liquid morphine for the pain and something to calm her down so she would go back to sleep.  Doug is now resting again.  The Hospice nurse said that him and I are going to have to work in shifts, but that isn't going to be possible because it takes 2 people to get her to the pot sometimes.  So I told him it is going to have to be like taking care of a new born and when she is sleeping we will need to sleep/rest except at night when we will have to stay awake all night.  This is harder then I ever thought it would be.  I guess this is God's plan for me right now because there is no way I could take care of her and work at the same time.  There is no way that I would allow Doug to do this all on his own either, he is having a really hard time accepting this, taking care of himself and her and still trying to make me feel loved.  I know I am loved by him without a doubt.

Please keep Doug, his mom and their family in your prayers, this isn't going to be easy and is only going to get worse since this is just the beginning.

Hope everyone has a great week, I am here just lurking.

Ok so my schedule is HELL right now.  I finally was able to get 5 consecutive hours of sleep with only one phone call to wake me up today ..YEAAHHHHH.   The last 4 days it was no more than 3 hrs at a time before having to get up and do something. I am trying to get my schedule in order so i can balance things.   I have been able to maintian my weight for almost 4 weeks now.  I'm really happy that I can maintain I know it sealry still but hey every day is a good day that i stay where i need to.  I need to schedule a follow up with my surgeon so we will see what they say.  So how is everyone doing?  ANy new issues ?  Is anything good happening out there?
