Kathy, It is none of my bussiness but why are you applying for permanent guardianship ? It is harder to get and your daughter is right. IT IS PERMANENT ! You have all the same rights with legal guardianship. That is what I have. I understand your issues with your daughter and her drug issues. My son is 28, has one kidney and drug issues. I wouldn't know where to start but one thing I can say is I truely beleive him going to jail for 3 years saved his life. He is hooked on his pain meds now and over takes them. I have been praying that he finds God for I feel he is the only one who can help him now. Myself I have turned it over to him. Please call if you need to talk. See you lighter. Joanne

Topic: RE: Weekend Roll Call
Debbie, Have you got the one with sleeves yet ? Debbie just got one for valentines day. I am going to Cow Towne Saturday and that is on my list to get if they have them. I think they are called " Snuggie". Debbie is a good girl and has been by my side. Somethings she just doesn't understand and her way of dealing with things are different then mine. Sometimes I just will not burden her. I called PMRI today and they are mailing me what they offer. They said I should see a dietian at $670. I want to check into fit 4 life which is a group session once a week for 8 weeks at $160. I will let you know after I get the paperwork and look it over. Hope to see you next month. See you lighter and oh yes my fleece is out for real. Joanne

Eileen, Congradulations on your weightloss. If you are interested we have a very good support group at Victory Fellowship Church in New Castle. Since you are not far away we would love to have you and your friend join us on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7pm. I would love to hear how your surgery is compared to us who have had RNY and Lapband. As for your clothing there is always someone at a support group who can use them. My first year and a half all my clothing came from hand me downs. I really enjoyed that. Since I was 263 lbs at 12 years old I never experienced the hand me downs the kids today complain about. Best of luck and I hope we meet you soon. See you lighter. Joanne

Carol, I will be waiting for you at Victory in March with a big Hug. I totally understand. 2008 was a bad year for me too. I had to take medical leave in June to care for my husband. He passed away November 17th and I returned to work full time in December. I had to pay the state share for his medical insurance for 3 months. They took 50% of my pay for 6 checks. Last pay period I got my first full check. Funny I put my paperwork in today to take early retirement June 1. I guess making me pay the insurance was God's way of showing me I could survive with less. I will still work parttime for my same job. This was a tough decision but I feel I am being pulled to do this. I am checking into the fit 4 life class at PMRI. It is a group class once a week for 8 weeks. Cost is $160. Check it out and see if you are interested in joining with me. WELCOME BACK !!!! See you lighter. Joanne
Topic: RE: Low Blood Sugar
Carol, Girl where have you been ? We have missed you. When we went to the OH conference in Pa Melting Mama was talking about this issue. You might want to email her. Please do check with your PCP asap. I have had low blood sugar with exercising or if I eat something with sugar. You get that sudden drop in sugar. Since you said eating sugar helps. Think about it ! Had you ate something with a high sugar content before this happens. Try also writing down what you eat so you can better monitor this and discuss with your Dr. Please let us know what you find out and it will be nice to see you back at Victory in March. See you lighter. Joanne

Sounds like you could use some encouragement Carol. I've been my Mom's caregiver for the past 3 years. 1 very bad UTI, hospitilization, 2 wks in a nursing home, a bout with pneumonia, and oh did I mention she has Alzehemers? I got way off track. This past November I got trmporary custody of my 3 yr old grandaughter. My daughter is on kidney dyalasys and needed time to get her health in check. WOW!! When Abby went home I guess I was under such stress I went on vacation for 10 days & started back to the gym. I was too busy to even think about grazing and I lost 35 lbs. I thank God my tool still works after 5 yrs. I wasn't able to attend the support groups for almost 8 months. I really need the support. I did get online to Susan Maria's www.Bariatriceating.com.I I got into their group meeting on Wednesday evenings. It was my only link for awhile. I have been back to Victory. Sounds like you have had a really poopy year. Just remember how much you have accomplished and get ready to start again. We are not a judgemental group, we do understand. Looking forward to seeing you soon. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Topic: Low Blood Sugar
Hello Delaware Forum:
I have been having problems for the past year or so with drops in my blood sugar. This is
evident because I start shaking, sweating and feeling very weak, almost faint. The only thing
that helps to calm this is to eat foods that are high in sugar. I am scheduled to see my primary
care doctor next week but wanted to know if anyone else experienced this and what was
recommended to help
you? Thanks.

Hey Debbie:
Sorry to hear that you are under the weather. I just posted another post about some of my
troubles and I am just getting back to work and off pain meds in January after a pelvic fracture.
Take care and I hope to see you soon.
